The Organizing Process

From first conversation to final reveal — calm, easy, and completely tailored to you.

Step 1: Consultation & Proposal (20–30 min)

An in-home visit to understand your space, your goals, and how your family actually uses the area.

  • Discuss your goals for the space
  • Review how your home and family use the area
  • Talk through a general project timeline

After the meeting, you'll receive a proposal with estimated labor and product costs. Products purchased through The Container Store include my ~20% trade discount, passed directly to you.

Step 2: Project Implementation (Typically 2–5 days)

The transformation happens here — I handle every detail so the process is seamless for you.

  • Items sorted and grouped by category
  • You spend 30–60 minutes deciding what stays and what goes
  • Remaining items organized into a functional, easy-to-maintain system
  • Items that belong elsewhere in the home are re-homed
  • Shopping for and returning unused organizing products
  • Labeling systems where helpful
  • Removal of all trash and donations

You don't need to be present while the work is happening.

Step 3: The Big Reveal

The moment everything comes together — your newly transformed space, ready to enjoy.

  • A walkthrough of your newly organized space
  • A short video guide so you can easily maintain the system over time
  • Final invoice sent within 24 hours

1. Why should I hire a professional organizer?

You probably already know how to clean out the garage — knowing how and actually getting it done are two very different things. When you invest in a professional organizer, what you're really buying is your time back. I show up while you're at work and get it done for you.

2. How does the process work?

It starts with a free in-home consultation. I come to your home, see the space, and we talk through your goals, your vision, and how your household actually uses the area. This usually takes about 20–30 minutes.

3. What happens after the consultation?

Within 24 hours, I'll send you a detailed proposal that includes a product estimate, a labor estimate, and available start dates. When you're ready to move forward, just select a date and we'll get the project on the calendar.

4. How long does a project usually take?

Smaller spaces — a pantry, a home office, a closet — are typically one to two days. Larger projects like a full basement, garage, or whole-home organization can take up to five days.

5. What happens to everything I want out of the space?

I take care of all of it. Trash leaves when I leave. Donations are dropped at a local donation center on my way out, and a tax-deductible receipt is provided to you upon completion of the project.

6. Can you make my space look as beautiful as it does on Instagram?

Absolutely — after five years of experience I've learned exactly what looks beautiful and actually functions in real life. The goal is always a space that's aesthetically pleasing and genuinely easy to maintain.

7. Where do you work? Do you serve my area?

I'm based in St. Louis, Missouri and serve the surrounding metro area — including Clayton, Ladue, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Town & Country, Frontenac, and beyond.
